Siraj Sikder
Produced by the Proletarian Party of East Bengal the original Bengali document was the Appendix-2 of the Communiqué of the Third Plenum of the Party Central Committee on May 1972, which was also published in party’s theoretical organ Lal Jhanda Issue no. 2 on May 1972

Taking viler way than the various forms of revisionists and the six mountains’ lackeys, the class enemies inside the party led by Fazlu-Sultan clique have spread filthiest lie, slander, bad name and rumor against comrade Siraj Sikder and his correct leadership. By seizing the opportunity of these counter-revolutionary activities, the remnants of the clique and the conspirators and their comrade-in-arms the careerists have attacked the correct leadership of comrade Siraj Sikder.
In this situation, it is the immediate duty of the party cadres to be acknowledged about the role of correct leadership of comrade Siraj Sikder as well as the development of the East Bengal Workers Movement and the Proletarian Party of East Bengal.
”To be able to lead the revolution, it is of fundamental importance of a proletarian party to take Marxism-Leninism as its guiding thought, integrate the universal truth of Marxism-Leninism with the concrete practice of the revolution of its own country, and formulate and implement a correct line suited to the conditions of that country. With a correct line, a weak force can grow strong, armed force can be built up from scratch, and political power can be attained. The Foundation of the East Bengal Workers Movement and its development, its advance through the complex political situation of East Bengal, its participation in armed struggle, its development in the Proletarian Party and advancement through struggle against internal and external enemies have been possible because of its correct line and method of work regarding ideological, political, military, organizational and other affairs.
If there was no correct line and method of work, the organization would not have developed to present level, and the work would have finished long before.
This correct line and method of work have developed only through the creative application of the universal truth of Marxism-Leninism-Mao Tse-tung Thought to the concrete practice of revolution of East Bengal by comrade Siraj Sikder.
What solutions comrade Siraj Sikder made to the complex problems raised in the course of development of organization and what correct lines he prepared, have been put shortly in the editorial of Lal Jhanda, no. 1.
The leadership of comrade Siraj Sider is inevitable for the development of the Proletarian Party of East Bengal.
It is a revolutionary responsibility to consciously defend and popularize the correct leadership of comrade Siraj Sikder, and recognize the material role of the correct leadership.
To consciously defend leadership means to realize with class consciousness what interest of proletariat the leadership really have defended regarding each question of revolution.
To defend and popularize the correct leadership and to recognize its role means to establish single center within party, strengthen it, place confidence upon it, make the party center greatly influential and powerful, unite the proletarian revolutionaries and masses, and terrorize and divide the enemies. These tasks are indispensable for the sake of revolution
Therefore, it is an extreme counter-revolutionary act to make slander, bad name, rumor, clique against comrade Siraj Sikder and his correct leadership, and make conspiracy to kill and overthrow him.
Its aim is to break the party center, destroy the confidence of cadres on him, break the discipline of the party and make severe damage to the party, revolution and people’s interest.
Such type of counter-revolutionary work inside the Proletarian Party of East Bengal can never be permitted.
All the cadres, guerrillas, sympathizers of the Proletarian Party of East Bengal and revolutionaries and masses must solidify unity under the central committee led by comrade Siraj Sikder.
Do not get confused by the rumor and slander of the clique and conspirators. They are the class enemies. Oppose the conspiracy of destroying and weakening party by the class enemies.
Do not let go in vain the blood of lots of close and popular comrades and guerrillas and tens of thousands of people of East Bengal. Do not lose confidence on comrade Siraj Sikder and his-led central committee. The meaning of losing confidence on it is losing confidence on the party. If there is no confidence on party, there can be no revolution.
Therefore, discussion is needed in all level of organization regarding the role of leadership on each question of development of organization, so that cadres may consciously have confidence on leadership and single center, and abide by the single center. For that reason, it is utterly necessary for all level to attentively read and review the editorial of Lal Jhanda no. 1. ■
